EXAM SYLLABUS FOR THE POST OF SPECIALIST OFFICER(CWE-SPL-VI)

Exam Pattern for the Post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari

Written exam will be objected type and will be conducted online. Written exam contains 200 questions for 200 marks; exam paper will have 4 sections such as :
(1) Reasoning,
(2) English Language,
(3) General Awareness and
(4) Professional Knowledge.
The exam duration will be 2 hours. Exam paper will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English language. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

(3) Quantitative Aptitude and
(4) Professional Knowledge.

Interview :- Candidates qualified in the Mains Exam will be called for the Interview the final selection and provisional allotment to any of the participating banks will be based on the merit made by combined performance in Online Test and Common Interviews. The marks allotted for the IBPS SO Online test are 200 and 100 marks for Interview. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). IBPS Specialist Officer Syllabus :

English Language :

Reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, sentence corrections, Para jumbles, Vocabulary, Grammar Corrections, Identification of Errors, sentence corrections, Vocabulary, Grammar Corrections, Identification Of Errors, Synonyms/ Antonyms, Choosing the appropriate word and Spelling Check questions.

Reasoning :

Questions are asked from both Verbal and Non Verbal reasoning. In verbal reasoning – Completing number and alphabetical series, Coding and decoding, relations and ranking, Simple arithmetical reasoning, Analogies / decision making, Classification, odd one out, time sequence test, analytical reasoning, directions/distance sense test, input /output /seating arrangements etc. In non verbal reasoning – series completion, finding missing figures, Mirror Images etc.

Quantitative Aptitude :

Number system, decimal fractions, Ratio and proportions, Percentage, Time and distance, Time and work, Speed and Distance, Profit and loss, Average, Simple and compound interest, Data Interpretation and sufficiency includes Data Tables, Charts and Graphs, and Probability Professional Knowledge syllabus for Specialist Officer examination :IBPS Specialist officer examination is having 50 questions from the professional knowledge of the candidate based on the post they are applied for. Expect questions in graduation level, a good reference of text books in your degree class with some current affairs on the subject will make things easy. The following areas are considered important based on the previous year examinations.

IBPS IT officer syllabus for professional knowledge :

C Programming Basics, MS Office, Windows OS and Programming, DBMS, Data Communication & Networking , Network Security, Web Technologies, Basic Programming concepts, Basics of hardware (Microprocessor, timer, ALU etc. ), Software Engineering

IBPS Law officer syllabus for professional Knowledge :

Law and Acts with direct and Indirect Implication on the banking sector like Contract Acts, Partnerships, Companies, Firm, RBI Constitution, RBI Acts, Important laws and rulings related to negotiable instruments, securities, Foreign Exchange, Prevention of money laundering, Limitation Act, Bankers Book Evidence Act, DRT Act, Offenses and Penalties, SARFAESI, Consumer Protection Act, Banking Ombudsman Scheme, RTI Act, Information Technology Act. The above sections need detailed study.
